Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Market Rising Trends, Huge Demand, Business Strategies, High Growth Rate by 2025

Photovoltaics is one of the most promising arenas among renewable energy technologies. Ensuring there are no concerns related to environmental hazards and energy shortage, photovoltaics (PV) is an ideal way of directly converting sunlight into electricity.  In building integrated photovoltaics, the photovoltaic elements have become an integral part of the building. A number of photovoltaics designers and experts in the U.S., Japan, and Europe are exploring newer ways of incorporating solar energy in buildings. In a building integrated photovoltaics systems, a photovoltaic system is built by assembling several individual collectors, known as ‘modules’, mechanically and electrically into an array. A building integrated photovoltaics system integrates these modules onto the surface of the building, such as the façade or the roof. Apart from adding architectural appeal to the building, the building integrated photovoltaics system saves considerable amount of material and electricity, simultaneously bringing down the use of fossil fuels and the consequent harmful emissions. Building integrated photvoltaics could be used in off-grid, stand-alone systems as well as with utility grids. ...

Monier terracotta tiles complete the Hamptons look at new Hunter Valley home

Stacy and Joe Spagnolo have recreated the much-loved Hamptons look at their new home in NSW’s Hunter Valley. Having followed the Tuscan style in their last big build, the Spagnolos zeroed in on the Hamptons look for their new Hunter Valley home, cleverly identifying it as a style that’s here to stay. “I think the thing I like about the Hamptons is that it’s quite simple as well,” says Stacy. “One of the homes I’ve lived in was that shabby-chic sort of look, which can tend to get a little messy, whereas this is more about clean lines and traditional finishes. I’m trying to keep it as simple as possible internally as well, with marble counters and silver mirrors, that sort of look. So, it’s nice, it’s clean, it’s white, it’s beautiful. The Spagnolos’ Hamptons’ style home is built on a new estate in Pokolbin called The Vintage, surrounded by wineries and generous space around it. The new house is on the golf course, right near the driving range with nothing behind the property. Also, being on a corner block, there’s a lot of privacy, says Stacy. Terracotta Nullarbor tiles in Peak colour from Monier Roofing were chosen for the roof. Stacy chose the terracotta roof tiles because the...
